Jack Catterall envisages himself fighting all the top names at super-lightweight after his upcoming rematch with Josh Taylor.

The fierce rivals are due to square off on May 25 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds after two years of waiting.

Catterall and Taylor first clashed in February 2022 when the Scotsman, then the undisputed super-lightweight world champion, retained his belts via a highly controversial split decision.

Most felt Catterall had done enough to get his hand raised with many branding it a 'robbery'.

In the immediate aftermath, Catterall's team called for a rematch but Taylor's injury problems coupled with a WBO mandatory defence against Teofimo Lopez last year have caused their second fight to be delayed.

A win against Taylor would elevate Catterall towards the top of the 140lbs weight class and open doors for some massive fights.

Although Catterall refuses to look past his next outing. he is keen to get his hands on the division's biggest stars.

"I envisage all of them. I picture fighting all these fighters; [Teofimo] Lopez, [Ryan] Garcia, [Devin] Haney," he told talkSPORT's Simon Jordan and Jim White on Tuesday afternoon.

"But that's not on my mind right now, I've got one job to do and that's four weeks on Saturday and that's smash Josh in."

Catterall will be due a world title shot if he beats Taylor so fights against champions Lopez (WBO) and Devin Haney (WBC) seem like plausible options.

The Brit is ranked highly with the WBO and the WBC and will surely see his position rise further with a victory over Taylor.

However, the Ryan Garcia fight seems further out of reach.

'King Ry' has already insisted he will move up in weight after beating Haney over the weekend.

Sean O’Malley hints a boxing match against Ryan Garcia could be on the horizon if he wins two more fights

The 25-year-old weighed in 3.2lbs over the 140lbs limit for their fight and so was made ineligible to compete for Haney's green and gold strap.

During the post-fight press conference, he said: "I'm not going to 140, I'm going to 147.

"I can't go to 140. Technically I've never fought at 140. My body literally can't go below 143, it's impossible. I've tried every technique."
