All-Ticket at Bramall Lane
Tuesday, 23rd Apr 2019 12:27

Town’s game at Sheffield United on Saturday evening has been designated an all-ticket fixture (Sky Sports, KO 5.15pm).

The Blades, for whom ex-Blue David McGoldrick has scored 15 goals this season, could secure promotion to the Premier League next weekend if they beat Town and Leeds fail to defeat Aston Villa at Elland Road on Sunday.

Blues fans planning to make the trip to Bramall Lane must buy their seats before midday on Friday 26th April with no tickets available on the day.

Really do fear for us at the moment but I am praying for reasonable performances against SU & Leeds and that we don't get hammered !!

SHU only need a point against the worst team in the league for Automatic Promotion

Meaning that the geniuses in charge at ITFC now have the prospect of 1000s of extra, pissed off Leeds fans in town on Bank holiday Sunday .... great work

Anyone else feel duped by McGoldrick and taken for a ride?
Everyone I'm sure will blame everyone else except McG, but I'm not going to be convinced anything other than the guy took us for all he could get and had no intention of ever getting "fit", except when his contract was up for renewal or playing for his country was a possibility.
Fans of McG will blame the manager, the physio, the owner, the other players, supporters, personal life, his body, the tea lady and so on, and maybe there's a bit of that, but being a pro he should rise above all that and perform no matter what.
He should never have been as "injured" as much as he was.
Lo and behold, he leaves, bangs in goals for Sheffield and no injury.
Yeah, he was gifted on his day at times, but I'll never be convinced he cared two hoots about this club.

@jewellinthetown, I believe McG stated himself he was under no pressure at Ipswich to win football matches! If that doesn't wake up ‘sleepwalking brigade' nothing will! Life in sleepy Suffolk is a breeze, not feeling great, got a slight tweak, sorry my has written you a note sir to excuse me from training cos I have a headache 🤕! The league position reflects the sad state of club!

Does seem strange he's missed very few games this campaign when being plagued by injuries with us for a fair few seasons, maybe he wasn't interested in playing in an Ipswich team playing in a certain way under McCarthy and let's be honest one which was fairly short on ambition.

Don't want to seem disloyal, but a loss would not be so bad. Rather SHEFF UTD than the budgies being top.

Despite the fact we drew with sheff utd i remember they dominated us first half in particular and looked a cut above us,dids was very quiet that day and got substituted,i always liked him and it was key to our form when he was injured, and it appears he has been instrumental for them this season, expect billy sharp to score against us as is normally the case, think you will find they need more than a point to secure promotion though

As long as we are not embarassed I am happy to lose to Sheff Utd if that. hnds them the title. Leeds I'd like t beat just becuase they couldnt over take Norwich - and everyone likes beating Leeds.

I just knew someone would blame Mick McCarthy for McGoldricks injury saga !
Why not, everything else was his fault, including relegation as it would not have happened if he had not been hounded out.
Ok, the football wasn't brilliant but football is a results business as this season has proved.
