Brighton 2.20 - Anglesey Lad
It may pay to side with the younger legs for this encounter, and the 3-year-old ANGLESEY LAD is the one I would like to side with here. Connections have clearly been undecided on what the gelding's best trip is, but he looked much more effective when dropped back to an extended 5f at Bath last time out, where he showed good gears.
Having been too keen and not lasting home over 7 furlongs on previous occasions, he looked better suited by those circumstances, and the flying five furlongs here can see more improvement. Blinkers go on for the first time, and it would be no surprise if this buzzy sort put in a bold show here with Rossa Ryan in the saddle.

Brighton 3.50 - Atlanta Breeze
The Mare, ATLANTA BREEZE is the each-way play here for the Marcus Tregoning stable. The yard have an excellent record on the South Coast, and although this talented 8-year-old blows hot and cold, she has an unblemished record at Brighton, winning both her starts over course and distance.
Her most recent exploits haven't been great, but she is very effective fresh, so arriving here on the back of a 292-day layoff shouldn't be viewed as a problem. The blinkers which are often very effective return, and off a BHA mark of 67 she is back on the same mark as when last successful. Dougie Costello takes the ride and they look the value angle.

Nottingham4.40 - Elladonna
James Fanshawe has his string in rude health at present, with the yard operating just shy of a 30% strike-rate for May. ELLADONNA makes appeal stepping back up in trip after running with credit in a couple of 1m assignments so far this season, shaping as though 10f will be perfect for her.
She had looked a little outpaced when the taps were turned on at the business end of proceedings, and so naturally this race looks much more suitable as she has her stamina drawn out here. The hood goes on for the first time, and eased to mark 73 she can get right in the thick of things here. Will Buick takes the ride and the combination get the nod from me.

Huntingdon 7.40 - Mole Court
MOLE COURT represents the Ben Pauling team, and returning to Hurdling off a lower mark compared to his Chase rating, he has to be taken seriously. A winner of five of his last six starts, including when scooping a nice prize at Cheltenham's October Meeting, he has a touch of class and is clearly a progressive sort.
His only disappointment in recent times was when encountering really testing ground, so with conditions set fair, underfoot conditions should be spot on for him. A winner here over fences last time out at this track, he can cash in again here. The excellent Ben Jones takes the ride, and Mole Court has major claims.
