Women’s FA Cup final LIVE: Manchester United and Tottenham clash at Wembley – kick-off time, team news and how to follow

Manchester United and Tottenham will bid to put a new name on the Women’s FA Cup trophy this afternoon when they meet in the final at Wembley.

The two WSL sides have never won the competition in their history, with the Red Devils beaten finalists against Chelsea a year ago.

This season is the first since 2005 that none of the Blues, Arsenal, or Manchester City have made it to the Wembley showpiece.

Spurs came from behind to defeat Leicester 2-1 in the semi-finals to reach the FA Cup final for the first time ever.

Man United secured their revenge on Chelsea by shocking Emma Hayes' women to win by the same score-line.

With United fifth in the WSL table and Spurs a spot below in sixth, there is not much to separate these two sides on paper.

Man United vs Tottenham: Team news

Jayde Riviere made her return from injury in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool last time out and could be in line to start here.

United have no fresh fitness concerns but are still without long-term absentees Gabby George, Emma Watson, and Jess Simpson.

Tottenham were also boosted by an injury comeback at the weekend with Celin Bizet making a late cameo in the 2-2 draw with Everton.

Amy James-Turner remains a doubt with a small issue, but Spurs have welcomed back both Martha Thomas and Drew Spence.

Man United vs Tottenham: What has been said?

Robert Vilahamn said: “Finally, we can start [focusing on Wembley] because I’m very much looking forward to that game.

“I can see the squad, and everyone is starting to prepare for it, and we are going to have a very good week, enjoy this week, and we will try to go for the trophy… it’s going to be amazing."

As for Marc Skinner, he hopes his side can channel the disappointment of losing to Liverpool in the cup final.

“Sometimes it's a good thing – barring the result, obviously it's a negative,” Skinner said to MUTV.

“But to take a hit right now to refocus us and go right to two really big games, one-at-a-time focus, I think that can be good for us going into this final to really get our energy, really get after Tottenham in the final.

“We obviously wanted to win the game. We haven't, but we had chances to, and those are key chances, too. That's where we'll learn and we then put that into practice, so we punish those in the final next week and then we go into the Chelsea game and we do the same.

“They'll hurt after that result and they'll get that and put that right and they'll be ready to go into this, this final, full everything, full energy, full commitment, and let's see what happens.”
