Erik ten Hag will have been left fuming at his team, but he may not have the players available to make changes at Old Trafford this weekend due to an injury crisis.

That will benefit Mikel Arteta who will be licking his lips at a great chance to keep his side in form and put more pressure on title rivals Manchester City

Manchester United

Andre Onana will keep his place in goal for United despite some criticism for his goalkeeping against Palace.

The Red Devils’ No.1 has been an ever-present and that isn’t expected to change, despite the back four in front of him constantly being swapped around.

Ten Hag has struggled with an injury crisis in defence this season, with Jonny Evans the only fit centre-back last time out.

And even the he was reported to have been playing through a knock alongside Casemiro, who had a night to forget at Selhurst Park.

Both players are expected to have to start again though, with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala still injured.

But Lisandro Martinez is back in training and could make the bench.

Diogo Dalot will be at right-back while Aaron Wan-Bissaka will remain out of position on the left with Luke Shaw and Tyrella Malacia out.

At the base of midfield, Kobbie Mainoo will continue to start and he is likely to be alongside Christian Eriksen again with both playing 90 minutes on Monday.

A huge boost will be the return of Bruno Fernandes who could replace Mason Mount after he missed a game through injury for the first time in his professional career last time out.

The United skipper is expected back with Ten Hag revealing that Fernandes always does his best to be available even if that means playing through an issue.

On the wing, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony will start, although Marcus Rashford is also back in training, so should be involved in some way, while Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line.

For Arsenal, they will be sticking with David Raya in goal, of course.

The Gunners have named an unchanged line-up for the last three games and it’s likely to be four matches in a row with the same defence.

Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel and Takehiro Tomiyasu will all start after keeping two clean sheets in their last three together.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakud Kiwior will be eyeing up the left-back spot but Tomiyasu should keep his place.

Jurrien Timber is back in training but after eight months out with an ACL injury, he won’t be rushed back into match action very quickly.

In front of the back four, Thomas Partey has claimed his defensive midfield position back.

After recovering from his injury, Partey has started the last three games and he will start again as Jorginho remains on the bench.

Declan Rice will then be alongside captain Martin Odegaard before Arteta could make one change to his side against Man United.

Leandro Trossard has made the left-wing spot his own in recent weeks and he scored against Bournemouth last time out.

However, Gabriel Martinelli has more pace to burn and Arteta may use that as a weapon to get at the fragile United defence at Old Trafford.

Bukayo Saka will of course keep his place in the right while Kai Havertz deservedly leads the line in a false-nine role after an impressive season.

Gabriel Jesus could be drafted in to cause some more chaos to United’s back line, but dropping Havertz would be harsh.
