Bet of the day

BTTS in Leicester vs Southampton - Yes @ 2/5

The race for automatic promotion in England’s second tier is as eye-catching as it is baffling, with four sides all firmly in contention to play in the top flight next season.

Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich have all felt the pressure in recent weeks, dropping points with alarming regularity, and that has allowed Southampton to join the conversation, with the Saints just five points behind the top two and still to face Leeds on the final day.

However, a 2-1 defeat at mid-table Cardiff at the weekend has seen Southampton join their rivals in slipping up in the dying embers of the season, so the end result at the King Power could be difficult to call.

The both teams to score market could therefore be the most lucrative option from a punting perspective and, with the bet having landed in each of Leicester’s last five at home as well as in three of Southampton’ last four on the road, this looks an appealing choice in what is sure to be an enthralling encounter.

Special of the day

Arsenal to win, Conor Gallagher to be carded and Bukayo Saka to score anytime @ 23/4

Home advantage could be pivotal and after returning to winning ways at Wolves last time out, the Gunners should be able to keep their title push on track with victory over London rivals Chelsea.

Arsenal have the third-best home record in the division, while no Gunners player has registered more league goal contributions than Bukayo Saka’s 22, including 14 goals.

With star forward Cole Palmer likely to miss out through illness, it could be a tricky assignment for the Blues and captain Conor Gallager could struggle against a creative and dynamic attack.

No Chelsea player has committed more fouls than Gallagher’s 67 while he also ranks third at the club for yellow cards (eight) and could fall foul of the referee again.

Long shot of the day

Bradford to win and BTTS @ 5/1

Bradford are unbeaten in five matches, winning four, and they could stun play-off hopefuls Barrow on Tuesday night.

The hosts have lost four of their last five and were also beaten in their last home fixture at Holker Street.

Each of Bradford’s last three away days have seen both teams find the back of the net and so, while a victory could be on the cards for the Bantams, do not be surprised if Barrow grab a consolation.
